Lymph Node Secondary Follicles Follicular hyperplasia: note the variety of sizes and shapes of the germinal centers. This feature is frequently a clue to a benign process.   The surface or border of the lymphatic tissue is at the top out of site. Note the mantle zone that is thicker toward the surface.
